HX Call

Phone numbers for Swiss HX airspaces, sorted by how close you are. HX means no fixed operating hours. The zone can be activated at 30 minutes' notice, and where one publishes a number you're allowed to check its status by phone. Useful if you don't carry a VHF radio.

On your phone: tap Copy, then paste it into XCTrack in step 3.
On a computer: point your phone's camera at the QR code.

3Set it up in XCTrack

The Web page widget is an XCTrack Pro feature. The app below needs none of this.

  1. Add a Web page widget and paste the URL above.
  2. Turn on Allow web page to access XCTrack data. This is what gives it your position.
  3. Turn on Allow tapping on the web page when locked, or you can't press the call button in flight.
  4. Turn on Disable unlocking so a stray swipe doesn't rearrange it.
  5. Set refresh rate to 0. The page updates itself.

Don't shorten the link. The ${lat} and ${lng} at the end let XCTrack hand over its last known position, so the zones appear immediately instead of after the GPS locks on.

An empty widget is normal. It draws nothing while the GPS is still getting a fix, and nothing when no zone is within range, so it stays out of your way until it has something to say. The app never goes blank: it keeps the nearest zone on screen however far away it is, because there a blank page just reads as broken.

The standalone app

Open the app → A separate page from the widget, and it needs none of the setup above: no XCTrack at all, just the full list with landmarks and notes. Runs on iPhone, Android and any desktop browser. Add it to your home screen and it works with no data connection, which is the point: you need signal to dial, not data.

This is a phone directory, not an airspace tool. It has no boundaries and no altitudes, so use your flight computer for those. Numbers marked unverified still need checking against the current eVFR Manual. If you can't confirm a status, the airspace is active.

Your position never leaves your phone, and the app and the widget send nothing anywhere at all. No accounts, and no profile of you anywhere. This setup page counts visits (Cloudflare Web Analytics: page views and country, no cookies, nothing stored on your device).
